Changing Your Name and Address in Driver's License
In the instance where you have to change your name or address in the driver’s license, you must immediately notify the Ministry of Transportation within six days.
Moreover, it is necessary to obtain and apply for a new license if you want to change your address. The good news is you may be able to change your address using a variety of methods. First, you can do it directly on the ServiceOntario website; second, you can take it to the Driver and Vehicle License Issuing Office; and finally, you can mail it to the Ministry of Transportation at the following address: P.O. Kingston, Ontario, K7L 5K4, P.O. Box 9200. Once you have completed any of these three options and they have received the information, the ministry will send you a replacement license. When you finally get it, it is strongly recommended that you throw away your old license and carry the new one with you at all times.
