Driving under suspension
Nobody is allowed to drive with their license suspended for any reason. The fines applicable for a conviction of driving with a suspended license if the suspension was for an HTA offence may be many thousands of dollars, and additionally a jail term of up to 6 months may be applied. Your suspension will also be extended by another six months. If you’re convicted of driving when your license is suspended for a Criminal Code offence, the fines can run into five figures and a jail sentence may also be imposed.
