Criminal Code Suspensions

There’s a 1-year license suspension for the 1st time you are being convicted of a criminal code offense. Subsequent offenses will substantially increase to a lifetime ban from driving. Convictions will remain on your record as a driver for a minimum of 10 years.

Driver’s License will be suspended if you are being convicted of any of these Criminal Code offenses:

  • dangerous driving
  • driving or having control and care of any vehicle that includes boats when your BAC is more than 80 mg. per 100 milliliters of blood
  • refusing or failing to give a breath sample for a roadside testing
  • refusing to submit a sample of a breath test for alcohol
  • failing to remain at a collision scene
  • failing to stop for the police
