What Is the Proper Way to Start a Right Turn?
To turn right, signal properly before the turn and when the road is clear, drive into the lane on the right-hand. If the right-hand lane isn’t marked, drive and keep to the furthest to the right side of the road. Before you make the turn:
- Look ahead, to your left, to the right, and then left.
- If you haven’t seen any pedestrians or smaller vehicles, check the right rear blind spot.
- Allow limited-speed motorcycles, moped riders, and cyclists to enter the intersection before turning.
When the way is clear and safe. Completely turn into the lane on the right-hand side of the road you are driving.
